There’s only one place that can claim the title as “birthplace of the Star-Spangled Banner”—and that’s Maryland!
In honor of Francis Scott Key’s famous words, “whose broad stripes and bright stars”, that now belong in our National Anthem, we are excited to announce the inauguration of our Stars & Stripes Princess Program.
This youth mentorship opportunity is specifically designed to teach the importance of community service and provide opportunities of personal growth to those age 5-12.
Each Miss Maryland Volunteer Princess will have the unique opportunity to be mentored by a local contestant competing for the opportunity to become Miss Maryland Volunteer or Miss Maryland Teen Volunteer, and will also be mentored by our very own state ambassadors, Miss Maryland Volunteer and Miss Maryland Teen Volunteer.
Becoming a Miss Maryland Volunteer Princess will open the door to new opportunities, such as attending appearances with our state ambassadors, participation in group mentorship activities, and an appearance during our state on-stage competition August 1st-2nd, 2025.
